DEFENDING FRONTLINE DEFENDERS OF SRHR
A project bringing together sector leaders in strengthening action, support and human rights protection for those defending sexual and reproductive health and rights.
We aim to raise public awareness of the discrimination, stigma, threat, and attacks experienced by our frontline colleagues, particularly in contexts where laws, policies, government leaders or other public authorities are hostile to sexual and reproductive health and rights. Here is how we're approaching this work...
PHASE ONE
A CALL TO ACTION

PHASE TWO
SECTOR RESEARCH
We've issued a Call to Action, representing our resolve to defend the rights of our colleagues to work free from fear and harm. We invite our partners and others across the health and human rights sectors to join us in that Call and in standing up for the rights of frontline defenders of SRHR.
We are also undertaking new research into the experiences of frontline workers. Those research findings will deepen understanding of what frontline workers face in political contexts hostile to SRHR and will enable us to better tailor responses to those experiences accordingly. Have you experienced discrimination, stigma, threat, and attacks in your efforts to provide, facilitate and advocate for SRHR services? We want to hear from you.
